Hummingbird Nest Ranch never fails to disappoint. Used for many films, the Ranch provided an breathtaking space for both ceremony and reception for this beautiful wedding. With the California Mission feel of the alcoves and courtyard, the warm Simi Valley September sunset gave silhouette to the rolling hills. Color us obsessed with this view! Christine & Jonathan included the traditional Jewish Ceremony elements of a tish and bedeken immediately before the ceremony. For those of you unfamiliar with the event, the groom and groomsmen meet and celebrate separately, as do the bride and bridesmaids. The groomsmen then parade the groom in song over to where the bride is gathered to lift her veil. Christine & Jonathan included all of their guests, creating a warm, loving and totally festive pre-ceremony moment!
And how especially breathtaking were the bride and groom? We'll never say no to grey suites and sweetheart necklines, but these two simply glowed. (Needless to say, these two had exquisite taste!)
A traditional Jewish chuppah created a beautiful canopy, covering the couple during the exchange of vows. One delightful touch of soft pink, blush, and cream color florals were added by the incredible Yamaguchi's Flowers to soften the edges. If you haven't guessed yet, we eat-sleep-breath decor. The Ranch is naturally equipped with plenty of greenery from ferns and palms to gardens and pine trees. What a dream!
For an especially unique touch, we included both banquet and round tables to the reception to add even more dimension around the central fountain. Delicate white lanterns sat as the centerpieces along with the romantic roses and hydrangeas. With veggie sticks for appetizers, the kosher entree satisfied in every bite. Give us the chance to do it all again? Yes please!
